1. Who we are
The promoter of the Competition is DLA Piper UK LLP (a limited liability partnership registered in England and Wales with registered number OC307847) of 160 Aldersgate Street, London, EC1A 4HT, United Kingdom (“we”, “us” and “our”).
2. The Competition
The Competition is based on entrants capturing the essence of sustainability in action through an image that shows us how you’re making a difference, how innovation is driving change, or how everyday moments hold the power to create a greener tomorrow.
3. How to enter the Competition and important dates
3.1 To enter the Competition, you just need to:a) Follow us on Instagram here @DLAPipercareersb) Like our competition post on Instagram @DLAPipercareersc) Post your Sustainability in action photo on your Instagram tagging @DLAPipercareers
3.2 There is no charge to submit an entry.
3.3 The Competition will run from [4:00 on Wednesday 31 January 2024 (the "Opening Date") to 23:59 on Tuesday 16 February 2024 ("Closing Date") inclusive (the “Competition Period”). All entries must be submitted via our Instagram @DLAPipercareers by the Closing Date, otherwise your entry will not be considered.
3.4 We do not accept responsibility for any entries that are lost or delayed in transit as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.
3.5 By submitting an entry to the Competition entry, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

4. Eligibility
4.1 The Competition is only open to all residents in the UK aged 18 years who are at the date of entry in current full-time study during the 2023/2024 academic year at a UK higher education institution. We may ask you to provide proof of your education status in the form of your student ID before we grant you a prize.
4.2 You are not eligible to enter the Competition if you are:(a) one of our employees or those of our affiliates;(b) an employees of one of our suppliers (or those of our affiliates), who are professionally connected with the Competition or its administration; or(c) a member of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.
4.3 We do not accept Competition entries that are automatically generated or created by computer, or completed by third parties.
4.4 There is a limit of one entry per person. We do not accept entries on behalf of another person or joint submissions.
4.5 We reserve the right to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the Competition.
5. The Prize
5.1 The prize is a voucher to the value of one hundred and fifty pounds (ÂŁ150) for Amazon UK and three (3) are available to be won.
5.2 We reserve the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond our control makes it necessary to do so.
5.3 The prize is not negotiable or transferable.
6. Winners
6.1 Our decision is final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
6.2 One winner will be selected by an impartial panel in each week of the Competition Period. We will contact the winners as soon as practicable after a draw is made, via private messaging on Instagram.
7. Claiming the prize
7.1 Please allow fourteen (14) days for delivery of the prize.
7.2 We will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winners. If we are unable to contact a winner or a winner has not claimed their prize within seven (7) of days of the Announcement Date, we may offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from those entries that were received before the Closing Date. We do not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
8. Our responsibility to you
As far as is permitted by law, we will not in any circumstances be responsible for compensating a winner nor do we accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of a winner taking up the prize except where it is caused by our negligence.
9. Ownership of entries
9.1 We do not claim any rights of ownership in your Competition entry.
9.2 By submitting your entry and any accompanying material, you confirm that:
(a) your entry:
(i) is your original work and has not been copied, in whole or in part;
(ii) was not created in the course of your employment; and
(iii) does not contain any material which is or could be defamatory or infringing of the rights of a third party; and
(b) there are no conflicting agreements in place that restrict your or our usage of your entry and any accompanying materials for the purposes of the Competition.
9.3 You agree that we may, in our sole discretion, make your entry available on our website and in connection with any of our publicity of the Competition. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence in perpetuity, for the full period of the intellectual property rights in your Competition entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the intellectual property rights in your Competition entry and any accompanying materials for such purposes.
10. Your personal information
10.1 Please note that we will process the personal information which you provide to us as part of your entry as described in our Privacy Policy (https://www.dlapiper.com/en/legal-notices/additional/privacy-policy)
10.2 Following the end of the Competition, we are required to make available information to demonstrate that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation we will send the surname and county of the winners to anyone who emails us at earlycareers@dlapiper.com within one month after the Closing Date. If you object to your surname and county and made available in this way, please contact us at earlycareers@dlapiper.com. In these circumstances, we would still be required provide the information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
11. General
11.1 If we believe that there has been a breach of these Terms then we may, at our discretion, exclude you from participating in the Competition.
11.2 We reserve the right to hold suspend, cancel, or amend the Competition if we consider that it is necessary to do so.
These Terms are governed by English law. If you wish to take court proceedings in relation to the Competition then you must do so.
