Why did you choose to work at DLA Piper?

When I joined DLA Piper as a trainee, I did so because I knew it was a top-tier law firm, with a global footprint and talented lawyers working on complex deals with high profile clients. What I did not realise at the time was that I was joining a firm with strong values, where people were at the heart of everything, and that this would become the cornerstone of my professional and personal development.

I chose DLA Piper then and I choose it every day because I continue to work on international projects, full of challenges, that allow me to learn and be motivated as I was on day one, while being part of a big family where my contribution is recognised and I can be myself.

Is there anything you would like to highlight about your experiences at DLA Piper?

Being part of a global firm is a great experience. Most of the deals we work on have a multi-jurisdictional component, which means we work (and become friends) with colleagues from other offices. This is one of our assets, an international presence that the firm encourages through various international programmes during your career at DLA Piper with peers from other offices and through secondments and flash programmes in other locations around the world. My eight-month secondment to London was the experience of a lifetime!

How would you describe the culture at DLA Piper?

We live our values through our work and work-related activities every day. We are bold, always ready to take on challenges and embrace disruptions such as AI and legal tech. We are collaborative, with office doors open to the team and we support each other and act as a team. We are exceptional, delivering the highest standards for clients and approaching transactions with positive and constructive solutions.
